Students do not need to be advanced or experienced in competitions. Grade is a general guide for math courses, and final course fit is based on readiness.

ARITHMETIC FOUNDATION

Arithmetic Foundations

Build accuracy and confidence with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division through guided practice and clear written work.

Designed for students who want steadier calculation skills, stronger accuracy, or focused review of the four operations before moving into more advanced math.

1-HOUR MATH PRACTICE

1-hour WZ Math Practice

Level-matched one-hour math practice for students who need steady review, stronger accuracy, help filling skill gaps, or additional challenge.

Designed for students in grades K–9 who benefit from focused practice, stronger accuracy, help filling skill gaps, or preparation for a future math course.

Format

Students work through a focused practice set, review missed problems, and receive teacher explanations when help is needed.

Junior Track

Learn coding through games, animations, and storytelling while completing one guided creative project each week.

Good fit

No prior coding experience is required. Designed for younger students who enjoy building, imagining, and learning through visual projects.

PREALGEBRA FOUNDATION

Prealgebra

Build prealgebra foundations through multi-step word problems, fractions, number patterns, organized written work, and an introduction to competition-style reasoning.

Good fit

Designed for students in grades 4–8 who are ready to build or strengthen prealgebra foundations, including younger students ready for added challenge and older students reviewing key skills before algebra.

Prerequisites and learning focus

Prerequisites

Comfort with multiplication and division is helpful. Students should be ready to work on fractions, multi-step word problems, and clear written reasoning. Final placement is based on a readiness review.

Introduction to Algebra

Build the bridge from prealgebra into equations, expressions, number structure, and algebraic problem solving.

Designed for students in grades 5–10 who have some prealgebra readiness and want to begin algebra foundations or review key skills before moving into deeper algebra.

Prerequisites

Students should be comfortable with fraction and decimal operations, multi-step problem solving, and independent work. If more preparation is needed, WZ Math Practice may be recommended first.
